In the lush Yamabiko Village lives a family of Kappas who grow unique flowers on their heads. While the adults have permanent blossoms, a young kappa sprouts a different "whatever flower" every day until reaching adulthood. Chaos constantly erupts in the village as the villainous Kurobaya Chobei gang schemes to steal the "Waka-ran," a rare, youth-restoring flower, leaving everyone wondering what will bloom next.
